OMG, It might be happening (B8 S4 rumor)
"Looks like a BMW" was the first phrase that came out of my mouth. Not a like a clone or copy, but the lines and stance are similar. Doesn't look bad, but I hope Audi keeps a distinctive look.
I'd love to see a V6 comeback. As much as I was stoked by the use of theV8 in the S and RS lineup and as much as I lovereading about themIjust don't see the need for 'em.To be fair the only V8's I've ownedweresome late sixtiesmuscle cars (Roadrunner, Mustang,Barracuda) anda 91Mustang, so I don't have any first hand experience with a more refined ride. I'd love to give the Audi V8 a try though. (they sounded sweet at the dealership!)

How many of you guys havetried the paddle shifters? Did it take a lot of getting used to? I don't know if I could ever master it...I tried and it felt strange...like driving via Playstation.

Choas anything without a clutch isnt fun and you dont need skill ....tell that to any f1 driver or lemans racer.they've both been racing with paddles since the early to mid ninties.Paddle shifters are unique......a manual you can get in a dodge neon.

and unique? audi, bmw, mercedes, acura, mini, infiniti, nissan, hell even saturn uses paddle shifters. i wouldn't be surprised if srt-4's (a dodge neon) started coming with them too
OOOhh I can't wait, perfect timing seeing ill be in the park for a new car in four years time! Im excited about the forced induction 6.
I share everyones concern with the styling. German auto makers are trying to appeal to entry level business men, not young european tuners like this generation. Or at-least thats how I feel. When a car is that gaudy/blingy looking I feel like I don't want to tune* it, if that makes any sense at all

Yea, I have seen web articles and magazines thatdiscuss the new Bi-turbo 6 forthe B8 s4. The car looks sharp, but some of the lines are looking very BMWish. I think pricing is going to be an issue here. Why pay $50K Plus for a new S4 when you can pay around $40K for a new 335Xi that has the same performance or maybe is even a little faster?
Regarding exterior styling of the current B7 generation, there is no quesiton that the S4 has the BMW beat for good looks. imo

European Car has an interview with Audi West Wingers(Top Brass) and they lead you to believe that the company will head more in a direction of turbo-charging smaller diplacement engines. So my guess would be twin turbo 3.0 litre six.......if my opinion was worth anything.
