Sat Nav Thefts
 

It would appear that over the last few weeks, thieves are targeting the inbuilt sat nav systems for Audi's VW's and Skoda's.

Not to sell the system on, but for a chip in the system used for the satellite system as apparently this chip can be fitted in Sky boxes to allow free access to all subscribed channels.

The police aren't interested (lack of resources as one policeman informed me).

Audi, and Sky are sort of aware but don't seem to be doing anything about it, but I just wanted to warn you in case it happens to you. The system isn't cheap so it will affect your insurance premium and excess if it happens to you.
