I live in Hong Kong and have recently purchased an Audi RS6 (2009) V10 from the UK and had it shipped here, lovely car...

Now here is the problem, the car has privacy glass and in HK it is illegal to have rear (behind the b post) glass with less than 44% light transmission - so it looks like i will have to swap out the glass to pass the government test (due to take place here 8th October).

My question is twofold, firstly does anyone know the light transmission value for factory fitted privacy glass and secondly what do all the codes mean in the corner of the glass (every window has it)?

factory darkness is 15% light transmission on rear glass. Best bet is to go to your local auto glass shop and inquire about untinted glass.
