1979 Audi Fox Engine
Ok, I was told that the Audi Fox could hold up to a 2.0 litre engine. I was also told that the Fox could not support newer engines? Now I'm really confused, then what engines are compatible. If I purchased a 2.0L for any make or model of car, would it work in my car??? Or does it have to be an Audi/VW engine. And if so, can it be an A4 2.0L engine from a recent car? I'd just like some help finding an engine that will work in my 1979 Audi Fox. Any examples would be great!
Also, I was wondering on such an old car if it would be possible to insert xenon light bulbs into the Fox? Thankyou very much! Austin |

Xenon bulbs... You're F’ing killing me![sm=lol.gif][sm=laughat.gif]
Have you been [sm=alcoholic.gif] too much. One xenon bulb is worth more that the whole car. As for the engine swap A4 2.0 is not going to fit or should I say bolt on. A 10V 2.0 from early 90’s VW or 80 will probably work. |
RE: 1979 Audi Fox Engine
anything is possible man ... the question is in the knowhow and the technical ability to do it

I have a 1975 audi fox and are in the process of fitting a 1990 3A 2l fuel injected engine to my fox. The motor fit and bolts up to the standard audi fox gear box with no clearance problems. hope this helps
