Default 1989 Audi 200 10v Spark Plugs

I recently have been having some issues with my car, and want some tips. Recently, I replaced the ignition coil, distributor cap/rotor, and the wires, and today I bought a set of Bosch Platinum plugs.. Now, I've heard from a few people that platinum isn't the way to go with this car? I don't know, but so far, the engine is running smoother than ever, so I'm not sure about it.

Figured if anyone would know, it'd be someone here. Thanks.

The only thing that I can think of why they would not recommend that is because of how the cars ignition system isn't strong to enough to use the plugs to their max potential.
