1990 200Q/T trouble starting
 

Now that it's summer I can get my car started whenever I need to. However, it still requires at least 5-20 seconds of cranking and pumping the gas pedal.

My real problem is when the weather gets cold. Last winter I killed my battery from having to crank the starter so much. Sometimes it would take 20 minutes to get her started, sometimes it wouldnt start at all.

I know the problem is something with the fuel delivery, but what exactly? I hope its not the fuel pump because I know thats expensive (can it be rebuilt?) I don't know know how to check if its the fuel pressure regulator without buying fancy gauges. I imagine its probably leaky injectors. If so, how hard is it to replace these? If I do that is there anything else I should try to fix while Im in there?

Is it petrol engine?

I would look at the temp sensor that tells the ECM to make the fuel mixture richer when it is cold.

yes regular gasoline engine, where is the temp sensor located?
