1990 Audi 200 10V Stick Wagon $600
First $600 cash buys car. Engine alone is worth the $600.
Parting out car, or will sell complete. Has 110K miles on it. Currently car is complete. When it starts, it runs, I would drive it to Florida, but that's me, and I've owned the car for over12 years and have gotten to know it's quirks.
If you're interested in buying a vintage 1990 Audi TEN valve engine (not the "Holy Grail" 20 valve engine) and like working on older cars, this one's for you! The engine is strong. It just has some fuel pressure issues ... (see below) So yea, I'll sell the car to anyone, but you really have to be familiar with Audi's so you know what you're buying and the associated "issues" this era had/have.
I want to sell it to another Audi owner, or someone who works on cars.
Several windows do not go up and down. Computer readout goes psychotic now and then.
Currently not on insurance. It's been sitting in my driveway for 2 years. I start it up every couiple of months. I've owned the car for over 12 years.
Black leather interior. No rips, but it IS over 21 years old! Sunroof works, head liner is off the little sun roof pop up flap. White paint is dull due to knuclehead using too abrassive cleaner ... There are tiny specks of rust at the wheel wells; Audi is known for fantastic rustproofing. Headliner is drooping in rear by liftgate.
This is NOT the Holy Grail 20 Valve engine . It runs fine though, and was quick for me , and I understand this engine can have a chip installed as well.. Ithink they gor for $300 - $400 ??? I may be wrong...
Anyway, FINALLY cleaned out car and started it up. I'll skip what's working and get to the "Here's what's not working" part:
1. Windows: Several windows need cables replaced. They are up with would inside the doors holding them so.
2. Head liner: Well, up front it's up, towards the back it's hanging (by the hatch area)
3. Fuel pressure problems. When cold from overnight. Have to crank the engine for about 5 seconds. Wait for 30 , crank 5. wait 30. then should start. When sitting for an hour it starts. beyonf that , repaet cold start method. Obviously it's a fuel pressure leak problem . AT the injectors? Weak Pressure accumulator, pump or pressure regulator?
4. PAint: Dull with harsh cleaning pad micro scratches.
