1998 Audi Cabriolet ECT location

New to the forum and having a similar problem to an old post of Cabrioman95. I have a Check Engine on with a code for the ECT sensor (The range indication not the low input or high input) and I have purchased a replacement based upon information from one of the auto superstores locally, but I can't find the location for the part on the engine to replace or even to verify that I have the correct part. I have a sinking feeling that I bought the wrong part (it is a 2 wire) but I have no way yet to verify. All of the pictures/descriptions/etc I can find are for other vehicles, not the cabriolet. The pictures from the other post (http://https://www.audiforums.com/fo...ocation-63914/) seem like they might help, but I cannot see them.

If you have a 2.8L V-6 it is on the coolant pipe at rear of engine on passenger side.Try ALLDATAdiy.com and google a discount before you purchase it. Mechanics use this.
