Hello, my 2.0 16v 1993 Audi Coupe has been acting a bit strangely recently and I wondered if anyone can make any suggestions on what could be causing the problems:

Usually the car feels very responsive and revs nicely through all the gears. Sometimes there seems to be some loss of power when accelerating -recently in first and second gear, the car doesnt seem to have any power for a couple of seconds and then goes back to normal - I can put my foot to the flooor and the engine will not rev anywhere near the amount it should do, but then it returns to normal again.

Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?

check all vacuem lines and check that there be no dirt there also.
