ye, scrap yard is good, probably engine from the 5000 would be good, cheap. get scrap turbo as well, the K04 and K05 [if exist] and or probably the good GT28RS or GT2871.

place the engine carefully where you could work on it, and do full rebuild from bottom up. Beleve me it wouyld be good. Mor eideas be glad to provide.

IMO the standard V6 is not worth replacing with the 10V I5 turbo!

89-90 200 I5 10V Turbo:
162 @ 5500 RPM
177 ft. lbs. @ 3000 RPM

93 90 & 100 V6 12V;
172 @ 5500 RPM
184 ft. lbs.@ 3000 RPM

92-94 S4 & 95 S6 I5 20V Turbo;
227 @ 5900 rpm
258 @ 1950 rpm

If you are going to do a swap you will need either a complete donor car or complete motor with wiring harness and all the accompanying electronics.

For the ultimate kick bellow the belt,

93-94 V8Q 4.2 32V
276 @ 5800 rpm
295 @ 4000 rpm

well if i got one i was gonna go for the 20v not 10, and i was hopin to get one out of an s4 because they had the most standard power, and i know what your sayin about the v8, i was just looking for some ideas, and the 20v turbo has many more options for power upgrades than the 2.8 does..

you can find the 10V motor and just get the 20V head, or easier just 20V motor.

hey kakarot
will the 20 v head fit directly to the 10v motor?
If so what kind of modification would be necessary to get it to work?
I have a scrap 10v and am looking for power.
