Won't start
Hey guys! I have a 1994 Audi Cabriolet convertible. All of a sudden my car will turn over and over but no start. The engine won't ignite. One mechanic said the ignition wires to the spark plugs is not receiving a spark. Any ideas?

It could be the Ignition Control Module. I'm not exactly where it's located on that car but here's what it looks like..
Ignition Control Module ICM ICU for Audi 100 90 Cabriolet A6 A4 Passat 4A0905351 | eBay Check the connections to make sure they're tight. Or you could just get one and test it. For around $20, you can't beat that for a test fix. Is the tachometer needle moving when you crank the car over? I think it should bounce a little showing the ECU is getting a signal from the flywheel sensors. No bounce could mean the reference or speed sensor could be bad. But I'd throw an ignition module at it first. The reference sensors are about $80. HTH, Dave |
