Audi S4 Computer not reading

Hello I just tried to have my annual State safety inspection done here in Texas on my 06 S4 . Took it to 2 different places . Technician stated that the cars computer not reading . All is good on the Engine codes but not communicating with Inspection eqpt. Any ideas of this problem ?
