Audi TT P1128 Code
I screwed up. While fueling up my TT I accidently started putting 87 octane in an almost empty tank. By the time I realized my brain fart I had put about 4 gallons in. I filled the rest of the tank up with 93 octane.
It ran okay but by the time I got home the check engine light was on. The only code present was P1128. The P1128 indicates: "Long term fuel trim multi. bank 1 system too rich." What does that mean? My plan is to run this fuel out and fill with the proper fuel. Then reset the code. Comments please! |
This code usually means the precat o2 is going bad, however the 87oct could of also tripped it. Just run it to about 3/4 left and fill it up again with 93 and reset the code. If it comes back, start looking into replacing the o2 sensor
