fuel pump stopped working
 

Hi everybody new to this forum.
im in bother hope sumbody can help me
I own a 2002 audi a4 2.5 tdi v6 quattro
great car till 6 weeks ago.
went to go to work one morning and she wouldnt
start took it to the mechanics,he told me the edc on the fuel pump
not communicating to the pump. does anybody have experience in this
situation. any advice would be great thanks

W/ a Diesel get use to going to the mechanic and or lots of preventative maintenance ! Replace fuel pump, common occurrence for diesels.

had the car now for 2 years now.
first time ive had to spend any money on it
part from the usual.
I can get a second hand pump with matching codes
would it still need coded.
our is it plug and play

I am not sure why you are posting a Chevy problem on a Audi forum. However, if you want to use an external pump in your truck it can be done but it need quite a bit of work. The internal pump will act as a restrictor and should either be removed, or the check valve blown open and destroyed with compressed air. Otherwise you can also add a new outlet on the fuel tank. The new pump will need to be designed for fuel injection and provide the proper pressure for your configuration. The return line, if used, will have to be retained. The best solution, and not that hard with a truck, is to drop the fuel tank and replace the internal pump.

You can get a used one, and it should be plug-n-play. Make sure you replace the tank rubber gasket w/ new one and fuel filter too.

I want to say i have this problem and my trusted mechanic used the plug and play yo want to replace the tank rubber gasket and fuel filter too.
