Question

Isn't this what the cat eliminators are supposed to do, by fooling the O2 sensors?
Can anyone confirm or infirm?

What cat eliminators are you talking about? You might just have a bad post cat 02 sensor which is causing the light to come on.

That is used to move the 02 sensor out of the flow when using a Test pipe. Basically it tends to help lower the readings on that 2nd 02 sensor since there is no longer a cat. You can try it but it might only work if your post cat 02 readings are too high causing the CEL to come on, if the readings are too high or your 02 isn't working at all then its not going to do crap.
