your question dosent make sense... are you talking about the ECU?

if you have vag-com you can scan the engine module and it should say somthing like this

Sunday, 16 November 2008, 17:56:25
VAG-COM Version: Release 409.1-S
Control Module Part Number: 8D0 907 557 P


the number in bold is the ecu code... or u can pop your hood and remove the cover to the ecu and take a look for yourself.

so im guessing i have an A-Box since i have 2000 S4 6spd manual tran.
