Default MAF Adaptive?

I have an a4 1.8t. So here's the question. The maf senses the amount of air that is taken in and adjust the fuel level to retain stoich. So if i were to use an mbc to raise the boost level(aka suck more air in) would the MAF adapt the fuel or would it just run lean. What im trying to figure out is if the maf adapts to the amount of air being taken in or if it just moves the fuel level along a set fuel curve. If anyone has any ideas on the mater plaese fill me in. Thanks!

the MAF is adaptive but there are limits so it will stall ( run lean or rich depending on the mod ) if you have mad upgrades which it wasn't designed to handle
