Primer Electric Fuel Pump 2002 A4 1.8T

This is my first post, I hope you can help me.
Hello guys,
I have a 2002 A4 1.8T, I remember always in the morning when I open my door, I use to hear the 'whirr' sound of the Primer Electric Fuel Pump working for around few seconds.
There has been like a month that I dont hear it any more when I open the door in the morning.
The engine start inmediately always without any problem. When I open the drivers door, the overhead light turn on, so the micro switch in the door lock mechanisn is working OK. I also intalled a new coolant green sensor thinking that this was the problem. What other thing I need to look for? Do I have to worry?
