Default s5 engine caught fire

hi all am new to this site and would like some advice

i bught a audi s5 last year and loved the car. it was high milage and had a full service history off audi.

i went out in it 2 weeks ago and was driving through a local village and could smell fuel fumes coming through the vents. i pulled over and stopped the engine. after a few seconds i restarted the engine and pulled away with in a couple of meters the engine started smoking and pulled over stopped the engine. i went to open the hood to see if i could see the problem as i done this there was flames. i stood back and called the fire service.

can anyone help and suggest what the problem was and do i take it further with audi?

many thanks

I'm sure Audi would be very interested to hear about your experience. not that they will necessarily do anything for you but it is one of those things that the technicians will want to figure out exactly what happened
