Best to check the archives on this, Tim. This was discussed again for the umpteenth time today. My advice: Don't waste your money on a TT. Just idle your car for a couple of minutes after any hard driving. Use the car door open alarm for a good timer. Mine turns off after two minutes. Try driving conservatively for a mile or so before you get to your destination, too. And, of course, change your oil more often if you regularly drive hard. Your engine will benefit greater from these pointers.

Turbo timers are very easy to install provided you have,
a.) a harness made for your car
b.) instructions
3.) a good flashlight and the ability tio work upside down.
Say you go with Blitz, they should also sell you a wiring harness for your car (I think they are about $40), the two I installed reqired only a place to put the timer, and some wires under the steering column to be unhooked and then plugged in to the harness. No splicing needed. It can get slightly more involved if you want to run the timer to your parking brake and or computer but not much harder and you don't really need to unless you are super paranoid about the car getting stolen in the 10 seconds it is running.
