Looks great. Sounds like a lot of hard work. I usually spray the engine bay with some Simple Green, get out the pressure washer and spray it all down. When it is all dry, I will spray it down with something like TireWet, makes it look brand new.

I know what some of you may say, "wont the pressurized water hurt something?"
The answer is, it could, but you have to be cautious. I dont cover a thing, but I also dont spray the hell out of the alternator or anything else that will get messed up with long exposure to the water pressure. I have done this to many cars, once I got the alternator too wet, let it dry out and it was just fine. The nice thing is, the Simple Green does most of the hard work, it works very well.
Your hard work paid off very well. It just takes me a fraction of the time.

rubbing alcohol and a paint brush works good where it is hard to get with just your fingers

Water wont hurt if you use it carefully. I keep mine as clean as the outside of the car. Soap, water, degreaser and some nanowax, worhs great on the plastics and the paint!

Imo, not bad for 7 years and 94000mi. A little sand paper on the valve covers made them shine nice as well.

I know this sounds really dumb but I think the 3.0 engine bay looks nicer. Although the 2.7t is quicker
