Need some help - Touch up paint isn't pretty.

Hey all,
An automated car wash failed on me and scratched up the rear bumper of my 2007 A4. I ordered the silver OEM basecoat paint and simply covered up the scratches as well as I could to somewhat conceal the damage. The touch up isn't horrible, but it truly isn't pretty. I've attached a pic of my handy work and I would be greatly appreciate of anyone that may have suggestions on how I can get the paint to better blend with the rest of the car. I'd rather not have to take it to a body shop. Thanks! Mike |

Sorry, that is terrible! touch up paint only works on the smallest areas...and sometimes even then it's tough to get it to blend with out a spray gun

I would take it to a professional car cosmetic shop. It's better to be safe than sorry. That area doesn't look like it would cost that much.

You're sort of stuck here. I'd recommend taking it to a body shop and getting the area touched up and blended professionally. It's really tough to get touch up paint to come out to a spot on color match to the original paint.
