Just bought a supercharged A6 2010 in black. It's my third Audi, until we went back a week later and also bought an 09 Q7 TDI in white.

My question is I've loaded up on Meguiars Gold products. The Q7 has 10K miles on it and some fine scratches/swirls etc. The A6 paint is new.

For the Q7 - I'm thinking of the following process:

wash with dawn soap to strip any wax
clay bar
one or maybe two steps of Meguiars polish
one or maybe two steps of wax

any thoughts???? The paint isn't horrible, but needs some help.

On the A6, I was thinking:
wash with dawn
polish
wax

is it overkill to strip the current wax off with Dawn and then polish and wax it?

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!!!
