This car also belonged to the owner of the red S2K I just posted. This car is absolutely INCREDIBLE! The owner said it should be pushing somewhere near 350whp and this car is super lightweight! This car is tracked/auto-x'd quite often and actually just got back from one just before I detailed it as you can tell from the blue painters tape..haha! this car is so fast, the Targa flew off Fast and Furious style going over 120mph on the interstate and it SURVIVED!! :-o

All the plastic trim and moldings were cleaned with Meguiars APC+ and a Swissvax Brush and then treated with 1Z Einszett Gummi Pflege Stift.
Attachment 48029 Attachment 48030 Attachment 48031 This is the only damage the Targa sustained from its flight at 120mph on the highway! Attachment 48032 After being compounded and polished.. Attachment 48033 A couple test 50/50 shots, the best I could capture on the camera with this color. Attachment 48034 Attachment 48035 All the plastic trim, painted edges and the clear bra were taped off to prevent any damage from the buffer.. Attachment 48036 Attachment 48037 The engine was also degreased and dressed with Meguairs APC+ and Hyperdressing.. Attachment 48038 Attachment 48039 The only hint that you get to watch out for this thing! :D Attachment 48040 |

I just now noticed that last picture with the tiny street cone hahah. I have a question for you. In your washing process, do any of your sponges or mitts leave behind any type of streaking. Every single time i wash, i get these awful looking hologram like streaks that look like i dragged a comb across the surface. Any types of sponges/washes or techniques to prevent that??
|
I would recommend a nice Lambswool mitt such as this one..http://www.detailersdomain.com/index...ROD&ProdID=312
As well as using a proper two-bucket wash method with grit guards. |
Ok, i just now purchased that mitt, because i had one similiar to it, but not nearly the quality. For the grit guards, do i have one in each bucket????
Im assuming one bucket has the soap And the other is for rinsing the mitt |
You are correct, I would use one in each bucket. But if one or the other, then put it in the rinse bucket.
