"When in doubt have a pro check it out" I have looked all over most forums and this topic seems to be very ify with most people claiming that the risk of fuel leak and fire out wights if an benifits from a fuel pressure gauge. Well I have learned fom my race cars 3 benifits to having it. it helps you spot tunning prolems spots fuel pumps going bad and spots future fuel leaks. here is a quick write up i will show you one way and tell you how to do it another easier way. My way -4an- hose female to female pre cut with the hose ends on and long enough to get to where u want the gauge to sit -4an male to what evre thread your fuel pressure gauge is adapter -A tool used to take the vale stems out of tire valves -15mm box end wrench easier way -4an- female to female solid tube with 180 degree bend -4an male to what evre thread your fuel pressure gauge is adapter -A tool used to take the vale stems out of tire valves -15mm box end wrench First I would sugest you pull your fuel pump fuse and burn up all fuel in your lines. Next take the schrader valve remover and unscrew it from the end of the fuel rail Attachment 27765 Attachment 27766 next screw on the end of the 4an- hose be sure to seal it with loctite or liguid plumbers tape Attachment 27767 make sure if you using a line u sucure it to the fire wall this is the way you avoid fire to much line flex weekends the line but if you sucure it the flex is down to a mininum screw in the adapter and gauge and tighten and there you go that easy Attachment 27768 Attachment 27769 the other way is the same way. the only diffrence is you use the 180 bend to place the gauge right on the fuel rail instead of away from it. |
