2001 A6 headlight bulb help please guys...
Hey guys, I have an 07/01 build A6 2.7TT. The lights aren't that great. I've 'cleared' the lenses but it still doesn't seem very good at night on either high or low beams. I've looked on here and can't figure out the problem. Does it have xenon lights/projector lights/HID lights/8000K etc etc? what does the car have? If I buy a '12000K Xenon upgrade kit' with ballast etc, will that improve the lights?
Help me out guys, lost my way a bit on resolving this one....
Thanks,

Are you running xenon lights from the factory or do you have halogen bulbs? I know the xenons were an option , but don't know if the 2.7T had them standard.
If you have halogen bulbs, I highly suggest checking out a Xentec Slim HID Kit. They are about $40 on eBay and I've installed them in my 2001 A4. Will take you about an hour to install. I can send you pics of the install I did once I get my computer back from the repair shop. Get the 5000K color temp...they are the brightest and whitest (Still a hint of blue). As for the cloudy lenses...you may want to purchase some replacement lense assemblies. Don't go to the dealer. I think Depo or Eagle Eyes makes replacement lenses at like half the price of the dealer.
