Hi All,

My '04 A6 with the OEM Bose stereo will not play burned CD-R disks. Returns and "Error 2" code. I have tried using i-tunes, media player, and some other 3rd party burning apps and it refuses to play a single CD-R disk. Tried burning at 1x speed same issue. Regular Audio CDs play great. I have the 80 minute CD-R disks and thought I should try buying 74-minute disks. But I thought that before I spent money, I would ask if anyone had ever had to use the 74-minute disks in their Audi Bose system in 2004 models...

I was using Store Brand CD-R disks. Never had any issue with them before...bought FujiFilm 80 minute disks and they work perfectly burned with media player.

 

when the cd is in the player and gives u the error code push the fm button then the cd again it should pick it up. My player does that every now and then. just keep trying it will work.

 

make sure when you burn the cd, that cd format is audio cd. mp3 or data cd will not work.
