2009 A5 HMI Not Working When Cold
Hey everyone,
I have a 2009 A5 8T3. The HMI display and console switches (Nav, Info, Car, Setup, joystick etc) don't power on when I start the car when it is cold. I will get the "boot" HMI-Audi screen for about 5 seconds then it powers down again.
I live in Canada; the problem starts around 5C (41F) and below. The heater controls on the dash work fine.
I suspect this is a loose connection which is exacerbated by the cooling temperatures.
Looking for suggestions / ideas on where to start or if you believe it to be a failing radio. I have the wiring diagrams for the car, but was hopping not to have to rip the whole car apart to find the problem.
Thanks in advance for the help
Cheers,
Randy
