A3 S Line Black Edition Mirror Not Dimming
 

Hi all

currently own a audi a3 2012 s line black edition quattro 170 bhp

I get dim on my interior mirror and the passenger wing mirror but nothing on the driver side, I took the 3 year warranty out with this car and owned it for 3 months i have tried to get this fixed under the warranty as this mirror has been like this since i purchased the car but im being fobbed off with poor excuses for them not to fix it

as the back windows come tinted as standard on the black edition i have been told by this mechanic that my drivers mirror will not dim because my rear window is tinted but yet the interior mirror dims and so does the passenger.

Are these controlled by there own indivdiaul fuses or is this more of an electrical problem.

i asked audi and they said it has nothing to do with the windows being tinted if light passes through the tints and hits the sensor on the mirror then all mirrors should dim including the drivers door mirror
