Hi everybody,

I have a problem with my 2011 Audi Q5 Symphony CD changer. It actually is a Panasonic CQ-EA1971G unit in there. I have the same problem as described here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NG_musNw7c The roll that transports the CD in has come unstuck from the support rod. I can't figure out how to dismantle the drive and get access to that rod. Does anybody know where I can get a replacement CD changer unit (just the changer, not the whole Symphony unit)? Should be a common Panasonic part, and shouldn't cause any problems with component protection, but not sure. Any help greatly appreciated!!

Hi again,

did some research and found the CD changer unit as Matsuhita E9823-1. Sells for $40 with shipping on AliExpress. Now I have read that the Audi component protection will kick in when changing the CD drive, but this can be rectified by the Audi dealership. Can anyone confirm this?
