Default A/C controls with carputer....

Hi all,
Does anybody know how i could use a carputer to control the a/c. i want to put a carputer lcd screen where the climate controls are.
Altough there are easier ways of putting a carputer in the car I want to keep the stock sound system.
any links, information is appriciated.

Thanks

You would need to know the pinout for the A/C system. As well as the signal schematic. Then maybe a digital signal boards to route the commands from the carputer to the A/C unit. I don't have all that much experience with it.

Thanks Brrman,

Your setup is my inspiration for this, otherwise I had sworn not to touch this car oh well....
There are two reasons why I want to control the AC from a carputer.
1) I guess it would be a fun project
2) I won't spend the money on a completely new sound system.

My other option is to take out the stock headunit make a setup like yours but findout a way of using the stock amps/speakers. Do you have any suggestions on how to do that....

not really - I replaced everything because I knew it would not sound the way I wanted with the stock gear.
And because I didn't really want the headache of figuring it all out. heh
