Complete MMI failure A8L 2007

Had the battery changed last week at a "car parts store" the change was done manually and afterwards I had to change something like 9 fuses. Problem is everything is working except for the MMI. I cannot find the MMI fuse system. I hear that they are susceptible to wire shorts like that of a battery reconnection but surely the screen or something would work. There is no MMI whatsoever and the LCD control screen (the pop up one) won't pop up and no radio phone nav nothing. ANy ideas? I heard there is a hidden fuse box somewhere under the hood/bonnet. Is this possibly the culprit? I went through the fuses on the rear left rear right trunk and driver/passenger side at front. All seem OK and changed any suspect fuses. The CD CHanger has power as does the NAV DVD in the boot/trunk. HELP!!!! Getting this looked at by Audi is $400 - 60 miles away and I have a job ! Not a good one any more either.

The button on th fascia that opens and closes the LCD screen does not work either. IS this ALL controlled by the MMI interface????
