Question DICE ipod adapter: ipod isn't charging

I just installed a DICE ipod adapter in my 2007 Audi A3 (model I-AUDI-T2) to replace the factory unit that came with the car (I wanted to be able to have full control of the ipod). So far it works fine, except it doesn't seem like the ipod is being charged. I installed everything according to the directions.

However, I should note that I reused the same cables for the DICE unit that were used with the factory unit. Maybe this has something to do with the problem, but the connections fit the DICE perfectly and my ipod was charging fine with the factory unit/cables. Any idea what could be wrong?

As far as I know, there isn't a peripheral connection made that will charge the new iPhone. It was something about a difference in the charging system of the new 3G that was changed from the 1st gen. Peripheral Electronics claimed they would have a product that would charge by "the middle of January". I haven't heard anything since. I'm dieing to finish my iPhone mount in the visor. I need a connection to my cd changer.

I figured out what was wrong last week. Apparently the ipod cable I had carried over from the previous factory ipod adapter was not compatible with whatever charging system the DICE unit uses. I basically just swapped out the cable with the one that came with the DICE unit and everything works fine now.
