EMI problem with TV

hey everyone i just put a tv in my o1 A4. it came out greaqt and all and i will try and get pictures up ASAP but one small problem is bugging me. when i run my car i have little lines going across the tv like its a bad signal or not a clean one, its not a sharp picture like when i have it playing wiht just the acc. on. ive been hearing some stuff on this EMI (electromagnetic interference) but i cant seem to find a unit to stablize it i guess. if anyone knows and units or anything i can do, please let me know! thanks!

Technically, you're not getting EMI - or at least not EMI picked up out of the air.

What you are experiencing is "video noise". Most car video products do a terrible job of filtering out noise from the electrical system on their power wires.

If you use an inline 10A power filter on your display - and possibly on your DVD Player too - then you can solve this issue.

Soundgate has one called the FLTR10. Others make them too... don't worry about getting a larger filter than you need.

You can go to www.soundgate.com and click on Eliminate Noise and on Filters.

Or google PAC in line noise filter or Soundgate in line noise filter.
