Front speakers cut out but go back on when volume is adjusted?
I recently had a new stereo installed by cartoys about a month ago and didn't have any issues with my speakers before that. Now when I am driving either my front left or front right speakers will cut out until I turn up the volume, then they kick back on. It is never both sides at the same time, primarily it is just the front left side (of course). I took it back to them and asked what the problem was, and one of the guys said there might not be enough power going to the amplifiers in my speakers, or they are going bad and gave me a ridiculous quote of $800 to have them replaced. Anyone ever had any experience with something like this or an expert with car stereos that can offer a cheap solution? There is no way I can afford $800 to have my speakers replaced, but if the speakers go out and I have no music I will go crazy driving in silence.
