How 2 take the audi s4 2000 stock radio out ?
can some 1 please tell me or post diagrams of how 2 take the stock radio out the audi s4 2000 i have 2 check the wireing on it bec the previous owner messed with it and now the lights on the radio dont light up ? any help will be verry appriciated. thanks -joe

There's 4 slits near the corners of the radio. There's a set of removal tools - similar to a saw blade that you'll slip in there to unlock the radio, and a minor tug to get the radio out.

I haven't found them at any store - but that's a good thing, right? That means it'll be that much harder for the "bad guys" to get our radios. I've hinted above that a saw blade can work. You'll want to slip the blade - teeth inwards - about 1" into the radio. Unlock by pressing the whole blade towards the center of the car. Since this isn't the ideal removal tool, I suggest being careful because you may damage the plastic around the opening.
I STRONGLY suggest you go to a car audio shop and ask for assistance. I've found that if you don't bother with the sales guy, and go straight to the back and ask: "Can I borrow your Audi/VW removal tool for 30 seconds?" works.
Should they not help you, it's a few $ on the link above for the "right" removal tools.

csuflyboy thats what i exactly did went 2 bestbuy n asked if i could borrow the tool for a min and they just said here i was like thx got the radio out sodered what i had 2 and now im set thanks man!
