I was told that I can run my 'RNS-E' A3 Satnav from an SD card, thus freeing up the CD drive. But having copied the files from the DVD to an 8Gb card on my PC, I can't get it to work.

Is there anything else I need to do, such as setting it up via "engineering mode"? Having googled the question I found mention for other Audi models that you need a 16Gb SD card, which doesn't make sense as the DVD contains just 7Gb of data.

Any ideas or suggestions?

There is a copy function somewhere in the menus- I used this on my A4 and it worked fine
