Default Ipod connection

Hey guys,

Just picked up my Audi A4 last weekend and I'm already craving some upgrades. I would like to install a connection for my iPod touch at a minimum cost. I did some searching and identified the following products:

A basic aux hookup
http://enfigcarstereo.com/AUDI_AUX_DMX_V1B.html

A basic USB hookup
http://enfigcarstereo.com/AUDI_MLINK1_V1B.html

I had a couple of questions for anyone who has these products knows more about this stuff:
1. How do I identify my radio type?
2. Will the USB hookup lock the iPod and force me to control it through the CD player?

I feel the same way. Just picked up by 2008 A4 and it's got no iPod. I called 3 dealers and got the following 3 prices here in the DC area:
1) Rockville Audi, MD: $635
2) Tischer Audi Silver Spring, MD: about $1000
3) Audi of Alexandria, VA: about $1000

I found all 3 to be ridiculous. Thoughts? Anybody get it done cheaper?

Check out our website to see which style radio you have, then there is an ipod kit that goes with that so long as you don't have MMI. The kits run 153.13 dollars and usually in stock. If I had your vin number I would be able to identify in more detail what you may need. Please click this link here:

IPod branding is also used Media Player application with the iPhone and iPad, the iPhone version is mainly a combination of music and videos to iPod Touch Apps. Both devices can then work with the iPod, but they are usually treated as a separate product.

Default iPod connection

iPod portable MP3 player has a dominant is extreme simplicity. The iPod's simplicity is not only in the navigation menu. The synchronising process can be very simple. iPod for the first time, follow the easy instructions and your entire pop-up library transfers to your iPod in 3-4 songs per second.
