Default Left Steering Wheel Seek Switch Modification

Can the steering wheel controls be changed on the '04 A6? I would like to have the Seek switch scroll through the Preset stations.

Thanks

Avant - it is possible to activate the steering wheel with the VAG-com software.

CoxGuy - Sorry not sure about that one, but I don't think so.

Hi everybody!

Thank you very much for answering the question, RadMan57.
As i said, i have multifunctional steering wheel without the push-to talk function. Probably next week i will try to activate it and i will tell you how it goes.

Hi!

Bad news. I tried to change the functions of the multifunction steering wheel (activate the push-to-talk button), but i could not change the coding on the steering wheel with the VAG-COM software.

Address 16: Steering wheel
Part No: 4B0 907 487 F
Component: Lenkradelektronik D01
Coding: 01002
Shop #: WSC 02334

No fault code found.

The coding is 01002, and i tried with 03042 and others, but no change was made on the steering wheel coding, it was impossible to change it!!!

Do i have to change other codings on the car to change the coding of the steering wheel?
Can anyone help me?...

Bye

Hi!

I just have found this:
Name: controladormultifuncion.jpg
Views: 204
Size: 65.8 KB

Name: controladormultifuncion_1.jpg
Views: 98
Size: 48.1 KB

So i think the correct coding for my car should be 01005....and there are only 3 possibilities, 01001, 01002, and 01005. Thatīs why i could not change the coding i thought was corrrect...
Anyway iīll try and see...

Bye

Hi!

It works!!! I could recode the steering wheel (01005 is the new coding) and i have full SDS in my car with the push-to talk function in the steering wheel.
