Default Newbie Turn Signal Question

I am a proud new owner of a 2002 A4 Quattro 1.8lt. Had it for two days and love it. The ONLY problem with this car is the turn signal in front on the driver's side. The computer thing between the guages is telling me that the bulb is out and when i turn on the left blinkers it goes faster then the rights. The only one that doesn't work is the front one. So i go in and change the bulb and it is still not working.....

Any solutions?

thanks for all the help in advance

You might have to replace the fuse too. Usually when the lights blink fast it's just because a bulb is loose or burnt out, but once you replace it it should work fine, so with it replaced might mean that the fuse is almost fried or you have jacked up wiring.

ok checked all of the fuses, they look fine. pulled the light again and i noticed that the leads from the actual bulb to the cartridge the bulb goes in are kinda black, i'm gunna try to clean them up and see if that works... if not maybe replace that cartridge.

What's a good site to get Audi parts like that?

Thanks!

maybe its the bulb holder. the plastic piece that the bulb sits in. that was the problem with my car. to test i just swapped the right (bad one) with the good left one and it worked. i went to the dealership and it cost me like $15 for a new one.

Actually just figured it out last night, It was that holder thing... one of the leads on it wasn't touching the inside of the housing. Just gently bent it out a little bit and vouala!

Thanks for the help guys!
