no radio input to rear speakers
i have a 97 A4 quatro with the nokia speakers in it. when i bought the car, the rear speakers were blown. the guy i bought the car from had a system in it, cause he left the amp wiring going into the trunk. i changed out the rear speakers and soldered the rear amp to the driver speaker, just as it was on the stock speakers, but i still have no sound. i checked and i am getting power to the amp and the speakers, but i'm not getting a input from the deck. is it possible the both rear channels are blown on my stock deck and that i need a new one? or could it be the amplifier isnt working and so i might be getting an input but its so low that i cant recognise it? any help on this would be great.

RE: no radio input to rear speakers
those speakers are pretty tricky/lame. to amke em work form an aftermarket deck (not amp) i couldnt use the wiring harness. i had to hard wire directly to the deck for them to work, then i got signal noise through them. so then i just disconnected them alltogether because you really dont need rear speakers they just mess up your soundstage and take away form all around SQ. i would tell you to bag em and amp up your fronts. that would sound the best. but that is just me.
