Default One of my headlights went out. 2001 A4.

The car has 193,000 miles on it, i have a few questions.

1. Do you guys suggest i get the factory HIDs or a 3rd party kit? I know the 3rd party kits dont last as long, but the car has 193k on it lol. How much will OEM kits cost me?
2. If i get the factory HIDs, should i replace them both or just the one? do they usually fail close to the same times?

If your car came with factory, OEM, HIDs , replace with D2S.

If it came with halogens, you could use a H7 HID kit.

My car came with the Factory HIDs. are there any popular D2S kits around these forums that most people suggest/prefer?? I havnt checked into if its a ballast or bulb that went out. if it stupid to buy just a ballast/bulb? should I just buy a whole new kit?

I'd replace the bad part(s). Swap the bulbs to see if the problem moves. If it moves

replace both bulbs. If it doesn't swap ballasts. If the problem moves replace the one

bad ballast.
