Opinions wanted on in dash GPS
Hey guys. I'm sitting here trying to figure out what I want to do. I've been wanting an in dash GPS for a year or so now but really haven't kept one car long enough to get serious lol. I think I want to go double din for the clean look but I have a 99.5 A4 so that would mean changing out the center console from a 00-01 as well as the ac control unit. Is this cost effective? Can I make enough money off the current center console for it to be worth it? I actually like mine more because of the way the ash tray is setup so that there is a space under it where I put my cell and my itouch while im driving. So is a single din worth it to save some money and keep the little pocket lol. I know this will come down to what I decide but I want to know what you guys would do in my situation I guess.

I dont mean to sound off topic and i apologize if i am. but one of the things i swore to myself when deciding which next car to get, i swore that i would get one with built-in factory GPS. I got an 05.5 B7 S4 with MMI and in-dash dvd based nav. I love it.
Im thinking, maybe you could get a head unit with a built in GPS (if they make those). Or just pick up a Tom tom or Garmin.

That was the whole idea already to get a Pioneer GPS double din unit. It looks cleaner then a single din one but I am not sure if I want to spend the money on converting the center console yet.
