Parking sensors Speaker
 

I have an Audi A6 2001 Model with I believe factory fitted 4 Channel Parking sensor at the rear. When I put the car in reverse a beep can be heard from a speaker near the rear of the car. My question is, is this speaker dedicated to just the parking sensors? my goal is to be able to interrupt the signal to the speaker with a manual switch to allow me to turn off the sound of the parking sensors, mainly for when my caravan is hooked up to the car. Reversing with the caravan hitched flat lines the parking sensors beeper and is quite irritating.

Any advice would be appreciated
