Unable To Program My Garage Door Opener... Please Help
 

Hey All,

I recently bought a used 2005.5 Audi A4 2.0T. I am currently trying to set the garage door opener but have been failing every time. I have done the following process without success:

Step 1: Hold buttons 1 and 3 until the light starts flashing rapidly
Step 2: I selected button one as my primary remote and it started flashing slowly
Step 3: I went to the drivers side front bumper and used a remote to enable the copying process
Step 4: The hazards flashed the required 3 times to indicate the code was copied
Step 5: I turned off the power and then turned it back on to test the garage opener, but failed

I have also tried to use the opener immediately after getting the three flashes as well but still failed.

Do I also need to hit learn on the actual garage as well, even though the process is replicating the code from the remote I was using?

Any help on this would be great thanks everyone!

Had the same problem with my A4 as well. Tried the whole push the buttons, use the bumper till the lights came on. Nothing worked.

I reset all the buttons, pushed the learn button on the garage door opener, and programed the buttons on the visor. Now it works with no issue.
