Hey all, I've got a new project in the works, and a donor for it as well.

I've got a 1.9TDI engine with about 30K miles on it taking up floor space in my garage, so I'm going to drop it into an 01 AllRoad 6spd.

I just picked the car up a few days ago, and I'm ready to start my 'winter project'. I don't have much history on the car, but it is pretty mint. And for this engine to hum smoothly at this mileage, it must have been maintained for the duration of it's life. The interior is pretty mint and well maintained, so the engine probably is too.

Here's a startup-vid from cold. There's single digit temp's outside, so it's pretty cold in the garage as well.



Some more info: It was a company car for some healthcare exec who had about an hour and change highway commute to work. Also a quick visual shows it'll need a valve cover job in the future, seals. The usual Audi stuff.


I can take more pics this weekend -- I'll bring it outside and get some nice 'daytime' shots. This is as it looks after bringing here home...no cleaning, no tune ups, nothing.
