Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor (Brown Connector)
This is a new Audi EGT sensor part number 078919529L. I purchased this from PureMS assuming that the lead would be long enough but it was not, I needed the black box EGT. Please confirm that the lead on the sensor is long enough for your model B5 S4, this site explains it in detail http://www.jhmotorsports.com/shop/ca...roducts_id=102
Best Offer takes it, I paid $230 from PUREMS about 2wks ago so please no low ball offers.

Please PM me as a reminder. I need to check which side I need for my Allroad, and I'm pretty sure this part # fits.

Hey guys,
I started experiencing a similar problem with my 01 allroad. took it to Audi and you guessed it, they wanted to replace both of the EGT sensors. They would not tell me which one failed and I do not have access to a VAG-COM yet. do they typically short to ground or are they open when testing them? They also told me they are virtually impossible to change yourself...I hate it when someone tells me that. Any guidance??? Does one side fail more often than the other?
