20" wheels on B7?
I am currently wheel shopping and I had my mind set on 19" with some 235/35/19 series tires but I have a chance to get some 20" wheels and tires(235/35/20) very cheap but not sure if it will be just too much and will be subject to rubbing and other problems. Here is a pic of the actual wheels and tires

RE: 20" wheels on B7?
don't get 20s just cuz they're 20s, think about your car for a sec. b7s (size wise) are alot closer to the b5s than the b6 platforms. and while you could probably get away with it on a b6 (given a 1.5 or so drop), i don't think that the b7s are going to be as forgiving (alot like having 20s on a b5). i would say go with 19s at the most, and suspension is a prerequisite for it not to look stupid.
and for God's sake, ditch the chrome!!!! you have a VERY nice car. the [sm=bling.gif] is an overkill. |
RE: 20" wheels on B7?
hmmm..yeh you make a good point, I think I should stick to my original idea which is 19" silver finish wheels. I also think there is such thing as "too much bling bling" I think it takes away from the car. I guess I was just molding myself to think differently just because they are 20's plus i can get these with tires for half of what they cost new..we'll see what other people think. Thanks for your opinion.

Yeah ditch the chrome wheel idea. They just don't belong on a fine german automobile. You'll have some big problems with 20"s.
