i have an '98 a4 and i want to install some e-codes. i know tht this has been coverd before so, i know thrs some modification tht need to be done to the fenders in order for them to fit. but do to recent event i need some body work on my car. im planing of buying new fenders because i hate bondo.
so, the ? is can i just install ,'00+ fenders? will they be a straight bolt-on?

no you cant install the new fenders to your car. If you look closely there is differences in the trim in the middle of the door/ fender as well as the pre facelift cars have smaller side blinkers than the elongated blinkers on the facelift fenders. You have to use prefacelift fenders.

but i've already shaved the door moldings and the fenders come with the lights (i think they look better) other than that is thr any more diffrences?

 

The brackets for the frontlights are different, the 00+ fenders don't have a sill that is on the pre-00 ones - if you don't upgrade the headlights too the blinkers will be quite loose...
