i am getting 18" wheels on my dark blue 2001 a4 1.8tq. my choices are chrome rims from 2006 s-line a4 or race hart rims that are aluminium. but i am thinking about taking the rims apart and painting the center black. which one should i get?

 

i would go with black. that would look awesome. but i would also get black asa ar1's and tint your windows.

out of your selections, i would get the 06 s line a4's i think, i dont know much about the race hearts...

I like chrome but its your preference. I like dark cars with light rims. Light cars with dark rims. LoL. If you look at my previous post my blue BMW 525i was dark blue I wanted black rims but went for chrome instead. It's all in taste. Black will give it a more aggressive look, while the chrome gives it a more like whoa look haha.

 

ya just like cxaguin said its all about personal preference... i personally only like chrome rims if they are 20" or bigger and mostly on suv's like the rappers get. I think chrome rims dont suit sports cars as well. and i also like getting dark rims with a dark colored car, and thing a light colored car goes will with either dark or light colored rims... so its clearly all personal preference. but good luck with your choice. post some pics when you finally get around to getting them so we can see how it looks.

 

Look at some RS4 reps or go with black.

 

i am having the same exact problem and am probaly ganna go with chrome

 

I just put a set of Hyperblack wheels on my A6 and they look really good. Take a look at some of them. I didn't think the black rims looked good with the dark blue car and I'm not much of a chrome fan.
